As our core applications and services shift more to 12 factor app design there is always a need to execute and run code in a scheduled job format. Tensile is an open source project created by Brannon Jones and Jared Wray to run your jobs like cron but on Cloud Foundry fully distributed and even serverless. Tensile handles the scaling, queue'ing, and most of all makes it easy on Cloud Foundry giving a single platform for your application.
